Krasnoyarsk Pillars

In the Krasnoyarsk nature reserve "Stolby" there are about a hundred rocky outcrops with a height of no more than 600 meters and of the most bizarre shape. The nature of these rocks is volcanic. 450 million years ago, molten magma could not break through the solid rocks of the Earth, it only managed to push the upper layers of limestone and sandstone out of the cracks formed. Over millions of years, fragile stones have collapsed from rains and winds, only rods of solid rocks remained - modern Pillars. Each pillar has its own name. The names were not assigned by chance, but depending on what or who this or that stone looks like
