Corinth is one of the most ancient cities in Greece, located on a narrow isthmus that separates the Peloponnese from Central Greece. Corinth was once one of the most prosperous and powerful cities in ancient Greece. Acrocorinth is the acropolis of the ancient city, located above the ruins of the once brilliant city of Corinth, which was destroyed by an earthquake. The Temple of Apollo was built around 540 BC. and is an excellent example of the architecture of the time.
