Shendelzar

Even the calmest Skyras are irritable creatures, from birth prone to revenge for the smallest insults. But Shendelzar is revenge in the flesh. The once proud and ill-mannered daughter of one of the Skyras, Shendelzar would have been the first heiress to the throne in the Terrible Nest, but her sister's betrayal brought her plans to naught. Caught in the assassin's net, Shendelzar was able to get out only at the cost of her wings, limping, terribly humiliated in front of the others: on her feet. She knew that the Skyras would never accept her as ruler; knew that in the highest perch of the Terrible Nest, which was impossible to reach without wings, her sister was safe. Not wanting to live in the role of crippled flying unable to fly and thirsting for revenge more than anything else, the fallen princess made a deal with the goddess Skriok: she sacrificed her crippled body for the sake of an eternal form of spirit energy, feeding on revenge and capable of causing enormous damage to matter. She can live forever without wings, but she will achieve revenge.
