Lanaya

Lanaya became who she is through her innate curiosity. Possessing an insightful mind, she spent her youth in careful study of the laws of nature. She read grimoires on magic and alchemy, performed experiments described in the charred pages of the Violet Archives, memorized observations of Keene's scientists. Quiet and secretive by nature, she more and more developed these skills, because new knowledge was more and more difficult. If she were a little less humble, everyone in the guild would have known her as a thief-scientist. Instead, her research took her to ever farther and darker places. Dedicating herself to studying the laws of nature, she was able to open the secret door of the universe itself: the entrance to the most secret of the temples. The entities on the other side of the portal seemed to be waiting for her. The secrets they revealed to Lanae were nothing compared to the answers they agreed to give her in exchange for service. Lanae vowed to keep secrets, but more importantly, she was given the opportunity to satisfy her intolerable thirst for knowledge. And the fading glances of her enemies, too, are gradually revealing to her the secrets of the universe.
