There are many versions about the origin of "stuffed cabbage". Here is one of them - Greek.
In modern Greek, a dish called "Cabbage rolls" is called "cabbage dolma". On the one hand, the word "dolma" itself emphasizes Asian roots, on the other, the ancient Greeks can be considered the inventors of cabbage rolls, since the first mention of a dish of cabbage leaves and meat was made in the comedy of Aristophanes, where one of the heroes exclaims: "Bring me cabbage leaves with pork! ”, and this is neither more nor less, 425 BC.
