Jacob van Ruisdael is a great Dutch artist. Best known as a landscape painter. Born in Haarlem in 1628/29.
Jacob van Ruisdael developed a special style of painting. His paintings are not just beautiful views of landscapes with an interesting composition. The landscapes of this artist are saturated with atmosphere and emotions. In his canvases, one can observe the interaction of all the forces of nature, constant movement, omnipresent life. Nature and its power in Ruisdael's paintings are presented as the rulers of the world. This is a whole universe in which people were lucky to live.
