Karl von Blaas or Karl de Blaas (German: Karl von Blaas) is a famous Austrian artist who worked in the historical genre of the late Biedermeier. Educator, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (1851) and Venice (1855). Blaas is the oldest member of the family of famous Austrian painters Eugene de Blaas and Julius de Blaas. His sons Eugene de Blaas (1843-1931) and Julius von Blaas (1845-1922) were also genre and historical painters.
