Mary Stuart - daughter of Scottish King James V Stuart and Mary de Guise - Queen of Scotland from infancy, actually ruled from 1561 until her deposition in 1567, as well as Queen of France in 1559-1560 (as the wife of King Francis II) and a challenger to the English throne.
Mary Stuart was born on December 8, 1542. Her father died a few days later and she became Queen of Scots. At the age of 15, she married 14-year-old Francis, who two years later became the king of France - and she, respectively, the queen of this country. And she was her for a year, before the death of her husband; after which she returned to Scotland as an 18-year-old widow. Marries 19-year-old Henry Darnley at 22; they have a son - the future king of England and Scotland, Jacob I. Soon, James Hepburn, Earl of Boswell (Boswell) appears in her life, who becomes the favorite, lover of the queen, and then her third husband. - for which he had to destroy the previous one. It happened, as proven, with her consent. For which the queen was deposed by the Scottish lords and locked in a castle on the island. Mary Stuart flees custody and gets to England, which puts Queen Elizabeth, her great-aunt, in a difficult position. On the one hand, native blood, on the other, which is why Mary Stuart is her rival, claiming the English throne. She is actually being detained. She was under arrest for 18 years, trying to find support in France and Spain, to organize a conspiracy. Shortly after she gave her consent to the murder of the Queen of England in her letter, Mary Stuart was beheaded at the age of 44.
