His first wife died in exile after a scandalous divorce (there were rumors that she was poisoned by the highest order); the second, the famous Anne Boleyn, was executed by the king for alleged "treason"; the third one died of birth fever; the marriage with the fourth was annulled; the fifth also ended her life on the scaffold. And now the monarch offers "a hand and a heart" to Katarina Parr, who should become him "a consolation in old age." And even though she is in love with another and never desired a crown, His Majesty does not accept refusals.
