Egwene al'Vir

A character in the cycle of books by Robert Jordan "The Wheel of Time".
She grew up with Rand al'Thor, Mat Coughton and Perrin Aybara. She was especially close to Rand and was supposedly to marry him after they reached the appropriate age. Also, Egwene dreamed of becoming Wise and therefore became a student of Nynaeve. Egwene has a strong desire to learn. She seeks to gain a lot of knowledge as quickly as possible.
Egwene is the first White Tower Dreamer in five hundred years who can easily enter the Dream World, Tel'aran'riod. Very strong in possession of the elements of the Earth. Egwene discovered long-forgotten knowledge, including Travel.
After the split of the White Stronghold, those who fled to Salidar Aes Sedai chose her as their Throne of Amerlin.
