Artist Jean-Theodore Fantin-Latour was born in Metz in 1805. Jean-Theodore Fantin-Latour is known as a pastel portraitist. He began his career in Grenoble, where he lived until 1841. In Paris he lived in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area. From her marriage to Helen Naidenoff, a Russian countess, three children were born, Henri, Marie et Nathalie. Henri Fantin-Latour (January 14, 1836, Grenoble - August 25, 1904, Bure, Orne) - French artist and lithographer. He received his artistic education from his father Jean-Theodore.
