Abe Toshiyuki was born in 1959 in Sakata, Japan. He received his art education at the national university, and after graduation he worked as a teacher of drawing and painting for about 20 years.
A long-standing desire to become an artist made him leave teaching in 2008 to focus on what was his life's dream. Currently, Toshiyuki Abe works intensively as an artist and takes an active part in exhibitions. The artist has many personal exhibitions and several prestigious awards.
