Arsene Castle

Arsene Castle was built in the 17th century by the Dukes of Guelders. The present castle was built on the ruins of the previous castle, which in turn was built on the remains of the original one. Arsene Castle was built in the Baroque style, which is characterized by the desire for grandeur and large-scale forms. In the 19th century, as a result of a fire, the left wing of the castle was destroyed, which lost the symmetrical appearance of the building. Around the castle there is a magnificent park, where you can walk for hours, admiring the numerous gardens and enjoying the amazing aromas of flowers. The park is decorated with streams, canals, waterfalls and ponds. Here are collected palms, olive trees, flowers from the subtropical climate. Only 12 thousand roses have been planted here.
