Tam Al'Thor is a former soldier, blademaster, adoptive father of the Dragon Reborn. After he met his future wife and found Rand at the foot of Dragon Mountain, he left the service and became a farmer in the Eden Meadow. He gave his son the Sword of the Blademaster with the signs of a heron, fought together with the villagers and Perrin against the trollocs who broke into their village, and the white cloaks.
