The bridge tower in the Izmailovo Estate Museum.
Izmailovsky Island is a unique, quiet and green corner of Moscow, where the remains of the Tsar's residence of the 17th century are located. During the reign of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the estate flourished. Well-preserved, from those distant times, the Mostovaya three-tiered tower was built in 1674 and was part of a unique stone entrance bridge (not preserved). In ancient times, priests were housed on the first floor of the Bridge Tower, on the second - the Duma Chamber, where the Boyar Duma sat in the estate during the tsar's stay, and the Senate during the reign of Peter I. On the third tier of the tower, the bell tower of the nearby five-domed Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God was built.
