Moszna Castle is located in the village of Moszna, which is located in the Opolskie Voivodeship of Poland. The eclectic castle is one of the main local attractions. The inimitable appearance of the building is emphasized by 99 large and small towers. The castle is located in a picturesque park with many alleys and ponds. The building that has survived to this day was built in the 17th century, but there are also unconfirmed versions about the location of an earlier castle of the Knights Templar on this site.
In the middle of the 19th century, the castle passed into the possession of Franz Hubert von Thiele-Winkler, who belonged to a noble German Junker family. His descendants lived here until the end of World War II, after which they were forced to leave for Germany. In 1896, the castle survived a fire that damaged the walls, roof and part of the interior. After the fire, all damage was repaired, and a winter garden, which has survived to this day, was added to the castle.
In 1972, a sanatorium was organized in the castle, which was later transformed into a medical center. An art gallery has been operating in the castle since 1998.
