Otto Didrik Ottesen (1816 Broager / Süd-Jütland - 1892 Kopenhagen) was a Danish painter of the nineteenth century.
Otto Diederik Ottesen was a genius master of still life, mainly portraying sumptuous floral arrangements.
Ottesen studied with J. G. Iceberg at the Academy in Copenhagen between 1834 and 1843. He became a member of the Academy in 1866 and a professor in 1874. Professor and academician of painting at the Copenhagen Academy of Arts in 1877.
Ottesen's works are very popular and in demand all over the world.
