Forgiveness Sunday

The last day of Maslenitsa is Forgiveness Sunday. On Sunday everyone remembered that Lent was coming on Monday, therefore, trying to cleanse themselves from everything sinful, people asked each other for forgiveness. People say to each other the following words: "Forgive me, wake me to blame for what you are to blame", bow at their feet, and in response they hear: "God will forgive." On Forgiveness Sunday, people went to the cemetery, left pancakes on the graves.
