Mate herbal tea has been the national drink of the people of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay for hundreds of years. In Latin America, it is drunk at any time of the day. Mate is a drink with a light stimulating and refreshing effect, which has a sweet and sour taste and aroma of fresh wood smoke. The Indians believed that mate has magical powers to satisfy hunger and relieve fatigue. These properties make tea an ideal post-exercise drink and supplement to weight loss diets. Traditionally, the drink is prepared in a special vessel "calabass" (a pumpkin cup) and drunk hot through a special metal straw with a string ("bombilla"), or you can use the European style: a teapot and cups. Historically, mate has been used as a remedy. Spanish sailors used it to treat scurvy, and the Indians who drank this tea did not feel tired. Scientific research by the Pasteur Institute in France revealed the content of various vitamins and minerals in the mat, which are important for human life. The drink contains pantheic acid, which maintains the required level of adrenaline in the blood, participates in cell regeneration, has a beneficial effect on digestive disorders of nervous origin, and improves memory. This tea is rich in vitamin E, which is essential for a normal sex life, and also contains choline, which regulates cholesterol levels in the liver. Mate plays an important role in cell regeneration and is an ideal blood purifier due to its high chlorophyll content. The drink contains the substance "mataine", the action of which is stronger than the action of caffeine, but at the same time does not cause nervous excitement, but increases concentration and physical strength. Mate is rich in vitamins B1, B2 and C, which prevent stress and nervous breakdowns. Tea does not affect sleep, and besides, the unique property of this drink reduces cravings for alcohol.
