In the middle of the 19th century, the German chemist Justus Liebig actively carried out experiments on the manufacture of a meat (beef) extract that could be stored for a long time. It was "Liebig's Meat Extract" (as the first instant soup was called) that became the prototype of modern bouillon cubes. Liebig planned to supply travelers with his invention. However, the resulting food product was of low quality and had a bitter taste. The company suffered losses, so Liebig happily sold his production to a chemical concern in the late 1860s. The new owners continued to refine the production of the bouillon extract, and Liebig advertised it as an appetite-stimulating agent. For the advertising campaign "Liebig's Meat Broth", a lot of colorful, highly artistic cards were printed. They are dedicated to significant events in world history, architecture, literature, natural phenomena, religion, animals. All cards are made in a single copy, which makes them unique.
