Cinderella

We used to love watching cartoons and fairy-tale films on TV. Someone's mother shouts from the window: "In the fairy tale!" - and the yard was empty, the children fled to their homes.

Leningrad. 1946 ... Memories of the blockade, bombing and death of loved ones are still fresh. Until now, there is not enough bread, heat and simple soap. And at the same time at the Lenfilm film studio, where it is not that historical props, even an ordinary chair in the pavilion cannot be found, amid the devastation and cold, the magnificent Cinderella fairy tale is born! Miraculously, they got out props and clothes (dresses were sewn from trophy and pre-war curtains, and for Cinderella - from scraps), the filmmakers tried to get color film, but there was not enough of it in the country ...

It is interesting that in 1946 Janina Zheimo (Cinderella) was 37 years old, and Alexei Konsovsky (Prince) was 34 years old. But it didn't matter to the viewer
