Lake Turgoyak

Lake Turgoyak is one of the unique creations of nature in the Chelyabinsk region. The lake lies at an altitude of 320 m, at the foot of the Ilmensky ridge in the Southern Urals. Turgoyak is included in the list of 100 valuable water bodies of the world. The area of the lake is 26.4 sq. km, length - 6.9 km, maximum width - 6.3 km. The coastline is 27 km long. The greatest depth reaches 34 meters. Lake Turgoyak is one of the most attractive places in the Southern Urals, which is often called "the younger brother of Baikal". The lake is included in the lists of the most valuable lakes in the world with one of the remarkable landscapes - rarely on the planet there are mountains in one place, a lake among the mountains, and around a coniferous forest. Turgoyak is also officially considered one of the natural monuments in the Chelyabinsk region.
