Artist Pati Bannister was born in 1929 in North London, England to a family of artists.
After an early career as a children's book illustrator, she worked as a special effects artist for J. Arthur Rank Film Studios.
In 1952, Pati Bannister moved to the United States and later settled on the Gulf Coast.
There she explores female psychology and creates portraits of girls with exotic flowers, spider webs, lace in a Victorian salon, next to a rain window, on lonely country roads.
Her juxtaposition of delicate natural beauty with feminine charm is a key element of Pati Bannister's unique style and has earned her extraordinary popularity.
