Osenevo is one of the oldest villages in the entire Yaroslavl region, located on the banks of the Lakhosti River. Presumably, the history of the founding of the village dates back to the times of the Tatar-Mongol yoke
In the 17th century, the settlement received the status of a village, which is associated with the construction of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God here.
