African tulip tree

Spatodea bell-shaped or "fire tree", "forest flame", "ball lightning" because of the numerous large bright red flowers, which really resemble tulips in shape. The dark green foliage sets off the gorgeous red flowers. Flower essence has a beneficial effect on the skin. Despite its softness and fragility, the wood of Spatodea bell-shaped is highly fire-resistant. In Singapore, paper is made from it, and in West Africa, drums are made from Tulip tree. Due to its strong antibacterial effect, its bark and leaves are successfully used in folk medicine in those places where the tree grows.
