No matter how rich and varied our table is, no matter what we cook: breakfast, lunch, dinner, a simple sandwich (or not a simple one), not a single meal and not a single preparation is complete without salt, and on every table there is always there is a salt shaker. Indeed, without salt, food seems to us tasteless and even inedible. We value salt very much, we compose proverbs and sayings about it. And although now salt is cheap in stores, before, it was very expensive and was worth its weight in gold. In addition, in the old days in Russia it was believed that "the one who begins food with salt and ends with salt, protects himself from seventy-two diseases, including madness and leprosy." Today this opinion has changed to the diametrically opposite: "Salt is a white poison." In fact, the problem is not the salt itself, but the amount consumed. The daily salt intake for adults is about 5-6 grams. We consume an average of 9.5 grams of it. From this excessiveness, today salt has been elevated to the category of poisons. And excessive consumption is primarily due to the fact that people do not know how much salt is contained in natural products. It is considered - hide the salt shaker away, and the problem is solved. However, only 10-15% of the salt ends up on the table after cooking. The rest is already found in natural products.
