This unique site, called the Seven Colored Earths (Seven Colored Earths) is located near the village of Chamarel on the island of Mauritius and is one of its main attractions. On a relatively small area of 7,500 sq.m. there are sand dunes of seven different colors - red, brown, purple, green, blue, purple and yellow, which do not mix with each other even in windy weather. Interestingly, the dunes remain completely intact even after torrential tropical rains inherent in Mauritius. The multi-colored sands were formed by the breakdown of molten volcanic rocks, which then cooled down at different temperatures.
