Small dog with a Napoleon complex. Big beast in a small body. Yorkies have a lot from big dogs. They are independent, grumpy and at the same time smart and hardworking. Now it's hard to believe, but originally the Yorkshire Terrier was bred to catch rats. They were supposed to rid the plants of northern England from rodents. This breed was developed to help the working class catch rats. Then they changed factories to the high society of Europe and now they can be found everywhere. These small lap dogs officially belong to small lap dogs, but they are terriers nonetheless.
