Sfagnum, or Peat moss (Latin Sphágnum) is a marsh plant. Its significance in nature is enormous. After all, this is the moss that creates swamps. That's right - not just living in the swamp, but creating them! From sphagnum, on the other hand, reserves of such valuable natural resources as peat are formed to a very large extent.
In Russia, sphagnum is also used for the production of experimental food products, in particular, sweets and "Arctic crackers"
