Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna Romanova (1882 - 1960), youngest daughter of Emperor Alexander III, sister of the last Tsar Nicholas II.
One of the few members of the Imperial family who survived the Bolshevik coup; lived in Denmark, then Canada. Artistic abilities began to appear in the Grand Duchess at the age of 4-5 years. The tsar's children’s passion for art was welcomed and supported by his father. The emperor invited teachers of painting to his children: one of her first teachers was the itinerant artist Karl Lemokh. Olga Aleksandrovna turned out to be a gifted artist, she worked a lot as a painter, watercolourist. During her life she painted more than 2000 paintings, the proceeds from the sale of which allowed her to support her family and do charity work.
In recent years, exhibitions of watercolors by Olga Alexandrovna have been held in Russia
