Arkady Aleksandrovich Plastov (1893-1972) - an outstanding Soviet painter, singer of the Russian countryside and Russian nature. Many of his paintings have become classics of 20th century painting.
The canvas "Spring" was painted by Plastov in 1954, during the "Khrushchev thaw". Modern society is prejudiced towards the artist's work.
The painting has a unique harmony. The artist was able to successfully combine dark gray wood colors and warm tones of hay against the background of a frosty spring sky. He skillfully portrayed a little girl wrapped in a winter dress, and the items were villagers.
