An automobile bridge across the Volga connects two cities - Saratov and Engels.
At the time of its construction in 1965, it was the longest bridge in Europe - its length is 2803.7 meters. The width of the roadway of the bridge: 12 m, of the sidewalks: 1.5 m. Approximately in the middle of the Volga there is the Pokrovsky Sands Island, which can be reached by going down from the bridge.
