The construction of the neo-Gothic temple began in 1903 and finished by 1911. The temple survived the Ukrainian-Polish war of 1918-1919, an air bomb explosion in 1939. From 1946 to 1970 the temple stands empty and collapses. In 1970 it was given over to warehouses. And only in 1991 the temple finally opens its doors to the parishioners.
