The Pokrovskaya Chapel stands on the rocky shore of the Monastyrskaya Bay. The place was not chosen by chance, because it was here, according to legend, that in 1180 the relics of St. Sergius and Herman were brought from Novgorod. The chapel was restored by museum restorers according to drawings instead of the one that burned down in 1985.
