Dyagelev's Russian ballet seasons have more than once inspired designers to create fashionable masterpieces. Needless to say, if Coco Chanel herself acted as a philanthropist, just to see with her own eyes another performance of the famous troupe. The jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels decided to turn to the topic of ballet. The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Bayadère, The Golden Fish and The Rite of Spring - all of these permanent works have received another reincarnation in the form of 29 exquisite decorations. Tourmalines, diamonds, colored sapphires, lapis lazuli froze in a dance, shimmering in a natural whirlwind of precious stones.
Decorations for the ballet, based on "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" by Alexander Pushkin, resemble sea treasures with coral branches and a scattering of pearls.
