The French jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels has presented a new collection of luxury jewelry Bals de Legende.
Talented craftsmen constantly find interesting topics for creativity. At different times, famous literary heroes, theater, fabulous flowers and the animal world played the role of muses. This time precious curiosities of the high jewelry class play out before us aristocratic scenes from the history of balls.
The Bals de Legende collection consists of five thematic "chapters": Le Bal du Palais d'Hiver, Le Bal du Siecle, Le Bal Black & White, Le Bal Oriental, Le Bal Proust. Each “chapter” is made up of rings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches, made in different genres.
Le Bal Oriental is a story about a Parisian ball in an oriental style. It was organized by Baron Alexis de Rede in 1969. On that day, the baron's palace was visited by such legendary personalities as Salvador Dali, Viscountess de Ribes, Amanda Lear, Brigitte Bardot, Baroness Guy de Rothschild and Crown Princess Margrethe of Denmark.
