Kerber, also Zerber - in Greek mythology, the offspring of Typhon and Echidna (Tartarus and Gaia), a three-headed dog with a poisonous mixture flowing from its mouths. Kerber guarded the exit from the kingdom of the dead, Hades, not allowing the dead to return to the world of the living.
