In the village

In your cozy village corner.

In your cozy country corner
Where from the station I wander lightly.
Where lights flicker here and there
I'll give myself up to ghostly, pipe dreams.

Under the friendly barking of the dogs,
Relatives and strangers to me,
To the glorious hum of cows
I enter the street from several courtyards.

Everything here is familiar to me to the smallest detail,
And I don’t need others.
There are simply no miles of this village,
And this is my only answer.

Now I find bliss in solitude,
In the quiet of birches - peace and purity.
And this is all earthly perfection,
Where have you seen another beauty?
