Clos-Luce castle courtyard

Clos or Clos-Luce is a French medieval castle, one of the most famous castles of the Loire. House Museum of Leonardo da Vinci. In the halls of a small castle, built of bricks and white stone in the style of "flaming Gothic", the interiors of Leonardo's times have been recreated: a bedroom with a bed (copy) where the artist died, a kitchen with a large hearth and several rooms decorated with Renaissance furniture. There is also a salon furnished in the Louis XV style. There is a park around the castle. Of interest is the collection of models of cars built according to Leonardo's drawings: prototypes of an airplane, a helicopter, a car, a tank, a drawbridge, a parachute. The chapel built by Charles VIII and the secret underground passage leading to Amboise, which is located 400 meters from the castle, have been preserved.
