By the decree of Archbishop Anthony Khrapovitsky in 1906, according to the project of the architect Alexei Shchusev, the construction of the large Trinity Cathedral in the Old Russian style began in the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra. This cathedral is a tribute to the memory of the former temple, built by Theodore and Eve Domashevsky, but demolished during the construction of the Assumption Cathedral
