Oriental artist Caroline Young, who was born in Hong Kong, studied at the University of Hawaii and now lives in America, paints delicate paintings in the Chinese style on the finest Chinese silk - this is her author's “trick”, which collectors and connoisseurs of the beauty of both are chasing hemispheres.
Initially, Caroline Young was fond of Japanese painting, but the work of the artist Lam Oi Char helped her return to her roots, which changed her life, worldview and painting technique. So for her delicate watercolors on silk, created according to all the rules of classical Chinese painting of the "subtle style", Caroline thanks her mentor. In her work, she uses Chinese watercolors, acrylic paints with the addition of metal foil, and gouache. She mixes her own colors to achieve unique and vibrant tones not available in ready-made paints.
She has a ton of stunning works, many of which are on display in galleries throughout the United States, and are on permanent display at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California and the Asia Pacific Museum in Pasadena, California.
