The bay

Erica is a self-taught artist born in former Czechoslovakia. She immigrated to Texas in late 1996 and became a US citizen in 2006. Works in a complex painting technique, using metaphorical images. Her unique style combines modern aesthetics with ethnic folk motives. The artist loves to depict signs, symbols, natural phenomena, she tries to remind her viewers of the feeling of a child's perception of the world, when everything delights with novelty and beauty.

Erika's creative process is based on intuition and improvisation.
