Latvia. The palace was built in 1901 as the hunting lodge of the mayor of Riga J. Armisted. It is located in a quiet area surrounded by hills. During World War II, the castle was used by both the Russian and German armies. At the beginning of the war, the castle housed a sergeant school, later a German radio station, and closer to the end of the war, a German military hospital. In the post-war years, the time of offices, cinemas, shops and apartments began for the castle. Now the palace houses a three-star hotel. In the castle you can see an exposition about Forestry and hunting in Latvia. There is also a stove with unique tiles depicting the views of Riga.
