Denmark. Surrounded by a moat, Gisselfeld is an impressive gothic revival castle made of large red bricks. The castle was built in 1547 by the statesman Peder Okse; Hans Christian Andersen often visited it. The peculiarity of the wooded park, which has 400 species of trees and ornamental shrubs, is a lake with fountains and a grotto with a waterfall. Another feature of the garden is the magnificent greenhouses built in 1879. In the 1990s, they underwent major restoration. They currently host art exhibitions and also house one of Denmark's most modern nurseries.
