The Shoaninsky temple is a Christian temple, the Church of St. George the Victorious, erected in the first half of the 10th century on the southeastern spur of Shoana Mountain (Karach-Balk. Chugana), on the territory of modern Karachay-Cherkessia.
Looking at this inaccessible structure, one can only admire the skill of the builders who erected this monument a thousand years ago. For many centuries, the temple on Chuan has been a place of pilgrimage for Christians on St. George's Day.
