Reason and will, predestination and freedom, luck and unhappiness, together were called kut, the possession of which distinguishes a person from others living on earth. Kut Tengri gives to each person at birth, and after death he takes it. The Turkic peoples call life, happiness with the word kut; they say to someone: let your horse or your clothes serve for your happiness, for your life - "kutty bolsyn".
