Shiofune Kanon-ji was built almost 1300 years ago on hills covered with countless azalea flowers in spring. This place has always been called the blooming place of azaleas, which are difficult to count. It is believed that over 20,000 shrubs begin to bloom simultaneously, covering the ground with an incredible colorful carpet. Nearly 100 varieties of azalea grow in this magical place.
