Ancient church delicate silhouette
Reflected in the mirror of the river
And a radiant light streams
The temple that was erected on the Nerl.
White, light, striving upward -
Like a song turned like a stone
Like a swan overshadows the cape
And I'm ready to rush into the skies.
That church was built by Prince Andrew,
Feast honoring, not thinking about glory;

Everyone is sad about the young Izyaslav.
Oh Mother of God! Under Your Cover
We have a refuge from troubles.
Invisible to the eye, it is stretched over us.
We feel warmth everywhere:
On the bed of sleep, on the way and in God's temple

The Church of the Intercession on the Nerl (Intercession on the Nerl) is a white-stone church in the Vladimir region of Russia. Built in 1165 in memory of the deceased son of the Grand Duke - Izyaslav Andreevich.
