Waterfalls on the Rufabgo River

The waterfalls of the Bolshoi Rufabgo stream are located in Adygea, 2 km from the village of Kamennomostsky, upstream of the Belaya River.

There is an excursion route along the stream to the fifth from the bottom waterfall "Maiden Spit".

Usually they don't know about the first waterfall “Three brothers” and pass by. The waterfall is located on the edge of the gorge, from which the Rufabgo stream breaks down into Belaya. "Three brothers" can be seen from the bridge.

The second waterfall "Shum" is heard from afar. Cutting off from a height of over 6 meters, it forms a bowl of water, a resting place for tourists. The descent to the waterfall is equipped with a metal staircase with handrails.

Further, as part of the excursion equipped route, the waterfalls "Cascade", "Heart of Rufabgo" and "Maiden Braid" are subject to inspection.

In total, the stream formed 16 waterfalls and many rapids of various heights in the gorge, but not everyone dares to continue the route along an unfinished path. Above the "Maiden's Braid" are the waterfalls "Rockfall", "Maiden Braids", "Chalice of Love" and "Lelkin".

The highest of the listed waterfalls "Maiden Spit" falls in a narrow stream from a height of about 15 m. The water boiler under it is up to 10 meters wide, and up to 2 meters deep at the foot. In this bowl, the water is agitated and slowly turns, then reaches the edge of the underlying ledge and cascades downward along the edges of thin layers of limestone.

Sukhoi and Grandiozny waterfalls reach heights of 20 and 15 meters, respectively.
