Germany. Zatzvai Castle is considered one of the most picturesque water castles in North Rhine-Westphalia. The history of the castle begins in the XII century. In the middle of the flowing pond formed by the Faibach stream, the main two-story building was erected. In the 15th century, it was fortified by completing the massive entrance gate of the front castle. This is how two imposing fat watchtowers appeared in the silhouette of Zatsvay. Over the centuries, the owners changed in the castle, there were civil strife, it was inherited or as a result of commercial transactions. During the Second World War, Zatsvay Castle was seriously damaged. In 1942, he was inherited by the mother of the current owner - Count Beissel von Gimnich, who still lives in the castle with his American wife Janet. This family has owned the castle for about 300 years. These owners were the first in Germany to organize a historic knightly tournament in their castle.
